| | | | This is a 1964 Kestrel day sailor.
It is 16 feet long.
It features 2
ails.
The masts are engraved with thh label,
Ian Proctor
Metal Masts, LTD.
Swanwick, Southampton, Eng.
The body of the boat states " Kestrel-- designed by Jan Proctor Assoc., built
by J.L.
GMACH & Co. ,LTD. , Ashford Works, Fordingbridge.
The sails are in Orange bags.
One is labeled 370 "Main", one is "Genoa" and
one is "Spinnaker".
They are mostly white with red trim, in very good condition.
There is also a wooden rudder.
My husband enjoyed sailing this boat in the 1980's.
Our residence changed
and the boat has been stored in our barn, in hopes that a family member might
like to use it.
I'm not a sailor, but I can say that my husband had great
enjoyment on this boat that he thought of as unique and collectible.
