54 Bruce Roberts Steel Radius Chined Raised Salon Sailboat This project is well on its way to completion.
Rig it the way you like it!
I was going to Junk Rig it and have just located and priced the mast(s) i would use, brand new at an exceptionally great price and could pass this information on as well should you be interested.
Bruce Roberts designed steel sailboat with beautifully radius chined hull with raised salon.
56' length overall, 16' beam, 6' draft.
Floor framing and sub-floors all in place with excess of 6'4" headroom throughout.
Interior roughed in as open concept designed to accomodate forward statesroom with long double bed (frame work installed) and insuite head/shower.
Aft captains stateroom with full sized king bed, insuite head/shower and laundry (all frame work installed).
Raised salon, large window area for viewing all around, to accomodate seating and nav station, ornamental iron railing overlooking lower salon.
Aluminum (removable) cabin top designed and in process (mainframe backbone complete), designed removable for ability to move ship by land with no restriction, when and if needed, from aluminum as to be corrosion resistant and lightweight, so it can be un-bolted then lifted by hand and moved by between 4 to 6 people .
Looking forward of the raised salon/navigation station area is very large open concept for planned large living salon area to accomodate a large 60" up to 80" led/lcd flatscreen tv and large kitchen and dining area .
Most of this vessel has been coated with a very special and expensive paint inside and out.
80 ft aluminum mast under construction designed to accomodate internal roller furling for mainsail(s), mast can be constructed as one mast for cutter or two masts for ketch etc. ( I did not intend to use this mast or mast sections for junk rig)
All floor frame and subflooring is installed and most if not all of the fore and aft statesrooms framing for beds etc.

New Yanmar 100HP diesel engine w/transmission still in original crate
5000kw diesel generator
Small oil-less 120psi compressor
540 sq ft of bamboo hardwood tongue n groove flooring
Approximately 120 sq ft of beautiful brazilian granite tile
Large roll of fiberglass matt and large pail of resin
Large roll of very high quality durable high-wear red upholstery material
Small wood stove w/glassed door just newly powder coated with ultra high heat black paint
Large Dickinson Stainless Steel diesel cook stove/with oven
2 aluminum lockable tool/storage chests, lots of tools like drill press
New Miller 280 welder comes equipt for stick and/or tig welding with gauges and portable tank for argon
9 opening port windows, 4 matching oval, 4 matching rectangular, 1 long rectangular for aft facing aft statesroom
Emergency dingy ( not used but will require inspection)
2 large lockable aluminum chests
Purchased new Miller T280 welder w/stick and tig torch and newly certified portable argon aluminum tank
Drill press and alot of other power and hand tools
Large teak marine table w/adjustable winding height stainless steel pedestal (came out of 80' sailboat)
Stainless sink basin
2 shower basins, 1 square fitted for aft statesroom, one corner style intended for fore statesroom
1 new king size mattress, one new queensize mattress, other foam on hand intended for seating
Large Danforth Compass
Two station mechanical steering with wheels and 1 pedestal w/compass
2 universally swinging doors intended to be fit, one for fore statesroom, other to be determined
A few gallons of yellow marine paint
316 stainless 2" propeller shaft fitted with brass propeller
New 316 stainless steel shaft machined, fit and welded to rudder ready for install.
3 kerosene lanterns
Undetermined amount of ropes
4 stainless steel tanks under construction, 2-125 gallon for water, 2-100 gallon for diesel
Other stainless steel material on hand
New Black and Decker coffee maker
Sony am/fm radio/cd player

The new 100HP Yanmar would cost almost as much retail as I am asking for entire project.
